AfterCare is offered to each child who successfully completes Tri-State's long-term treatment program. AfterCare is initiated through a pre-release interview/ conference that serves as a road map to successful, home and community re-integration. AfterCare is administered through areas of activities that maintain and reinforce positive behaviors and building relationships. Such activities include supervised home visits/furloughs, extended family visitation, informal family counseling, community involvement, and continued monitoring after program release. The AfterCare program serves as a positive support service for both the youth and the family.
