Community Involvement

Community Involvement is incorporated to teach our youth the importance of giving back to the community in a positive, beneficial way.

For so many of our youth, they have demonstrated previous behaviors that created a negative community image, or have committed acts against community members. Through positive community involvement and eventual community acceptance, youth are able to realize the benefits of being a positive part of a community-the collaboration and the satisfaction of working cooperatively toward a common goal!

Community involvement activities include participation in parades/festivals, community beautification projects, Adopt-A-Highway, Habitat for Humanity, general special events and visits to nursing homes. As a result, our youth are more readily accepted and supported by community members, which in turn aids in building self-esteem and provides a sense of belonging.
